Pursuant to the training regulations of master’s study issued in accordance with Circular 23/2021/TT-BGDĐT of August 30th, 2021 by the Ministry of Education and Training;

The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (hereafter UEH) calls qualified applications to the Master Program for 2021 entry, which are delivered in English language.

1. Program Specification

1.1. Aim

The program aims to train managers, who can master all necessary skills and knowledge in economics, management, international business, finance and banking, critical thinking and solving problems arised in organization, as well as in society.

1.3. Study mode and duration: on-campus in 2 academic years

2. Admission Criteria

International residents in Vietnam, who meet the following entry requirements, are welcomed to apply.

2.1. Entry requirements

2.1.1. Prerequisite

A bachelor’s degree from a recognized higher education institution in economics, business management. The applicants who have bachelor degree in other fields than economics or business and management must successfully have passed all credits required for the Supplementary Certificate in economics, business and management approved by the UEH.

2.1.2. Professional experiences

The program accepts candidates with all academic backgrounds. Those whose are non-economic must have at least two years of managerial working experiences after having bachelor degree.

2.1.3. Language proficiency

Candidates are required to demonstrate proficiency in English which can also be proven through certified documents showing:

  • Citizenship of countries whose official language is English;
  • Successful completion of higher education with English as the instruction medium;
  • Successul completion of a bachelor’s degree in English language/ linguistics;
  • IELTS (at least 6.0), TOEFL iBT (at least 65).

2.1.4. Health requirement

The admitted have to meet minimum public health standards to undertake their studies.

2.2. Recruitment mode

Selection for admission is undertaken upon the following outlines:

  • Part 1: Merit-based assessment

Applications will be assessed by the selection panel based on the information provided, including professional and personal qualities, academic competence, working experiences, and their potential contribution to the program.

  • Part 2: Interview

During the interview, candidates will be asked questions about their motivation, determination, relevant expertise and problem-solving experiences. 

A candidate is admitted if his/her grade of each above part is on or above the average.

2.4. Enrolment

The estimate enrolment for 2021 entry is 20 students for each specialization mentioned at Section 1.2.

5. Scholarship Opportunities:

Scholarships are offered up to 100% of the tuition fee for admitted students.

6. Submission:

Applications have to be submitted at the UEH Graduate School (Room A.001, the UEH, 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu St., Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City).

4. Two notarized copies of a bachelor’s degree and one notarized copy of academic transcripts;

5. Supplementary certificate in economics (for non-economic background candiates);

6. Two recent 4x6 passport photos with names, dob, pob at the backs.

The Recruitment Committee of the UEH will inform the successful candidates to submit all required documents for further verification before sending the official admission letter.
